The course, which was organized by Amman Center for Human Rights Studies, and the Jordanian Coalition for Civil Society Organizations, in cooperation with Al- Hussain cultural forum, in Al-Khaldeia/ Al-Mafraq, in included a number of training sessions about the purpose of election monitoring; the rules that the local monitor should follow, monitoring the electoral promotions, the process of the election monitoring, and the roles of the monitor through the opening, the voting, the closing, the counting, and the announcing of the elected officials. It also discussed a monitoring experience from Yemen.
It is noteworthy that ACHRS has organized, since its establishment eight years ago, 37 courses in elections monitoring which is part of 249 courses on different subjects in the field of human rights. 6340 participants from Jordan and other Arab countries attended these courses. Moreover, two years ago the Amman Center started the establishment of the Arab Network for Election Monitoring. 54 institutions from 15 Arab countries are now enlisted in this network.
